Day #300 - Hidden Faces

We did the Hop On Hop Off bus tour of Philly today with one of the stops 

being Eastern State Penitentiary. Bethany, 11, wanted to hop off here, so

 we did. Is it haunted? We know there were plenty of 'eyes' watching us!! :) 

Bethany and I saw faces in each of these pics and in 1, a skeleton! HA yes, we 
maybe nuts, but look and I bet you can see them too.

Day #289 - Life Amongst The Dead

Life Amongst The Dead
I visited Eastern State Penitentiary last weekend and was lucky enough for some behind locked door
tours. As you walk the crumbling halls and cells and 'listen' to the clanking of iron doors shutting behind you, you
can only imagine what you never want to imagine.  You look around and think that life is dead around there
 when you suddenly look at see a few beautiful white and yellow flowers. Talk about a stark  look at life amongst the dead. 

Day #288 - I Broke The Law

This old gravestone is in the graveyard bordering Valley Forge Park. I walked on the
other side of that fence which, up until 2 weeks, was open to the public. It's now considered
 trespassing! Yeah! Oh I could so go on a rant, but I won't. 

Day #287 - Little Bugger

Little Bugger!! He was so busy lapping up the water that the shrimp were cooked in, that he didn't hear me coming. Erika you have them spoiled, all they want now is shrimp! They have me wrapped around their furry little paws!! LOL, they are too funny :-)))

Day #286 - The March

From today's protest at Valley Forge Park

It started just across from the chapel

The march itself went from the chapel to the Visitor Center a mile away

Well over a thousand showed up either by car, by foot, by bike, by motorcycle, by horse, by ....

There many vets there with some driving for hours, some local. There were members of the 

Tea Party there, there were regular people like me there, some old. some young, some 4 legged.  

Some went with purpose, so out of curiosity, but I think we all agree our country is mess 

and whether an Obama supporter or an Obama hater, we all agree something has to change 

and change fast or who knows what will happen.

Day #284 - What A Difference 2 Weeks Make

This was us just 2 short weeks ago, ......... warm, sunny and not a care in the world!
This is us today  ............................................................ cold, rainy and miserable!
What a difference 2 weeks can make, but that's ok cause it's DA WEEKEND!!!
LONG assed week it's been too, BUT it's DA WEEKEND!!!! :)

Day #282 - I Came Home And Crashed

I came home and crashed tonight. What I wouldn't give to to have the energy
of a 2yr old!! Anywhichway, my brother Michael sent me a text tonight "Cool sky," so I ran outside and
took 1 quick point and shoot before it was gone. LOOK at that color. There's nothing doctored here, the sky
WAS that color!! Ya gotta love ole Mother Nature, well most of the time anyway! :)
