| The rains stopped, the skies cleared, the sun appeared and I hit the river with my kayak. I decided to explore an area that I'd not gone down before. I felt like I was in a tropical rain forest. I love living so close to all this :) |

| One of my favorite sunflowers. Must grow these next year and not leave the sunflowers up to the birds to plant. They drop their seeds here there and everywhere and they're not the nice big pretty kind like this one here. I must have a talk with them, LOL! :) |

Day #197 - Hummingbirds Get Itches Too

| Hummingbirds get itches too! I have a pair that come back year after year. I see them at least 3 or 4 times a day feeding off the bee balm and black and blue salvia. This was taken out my kitchen window. I do love the birds :) |

| I transferred from the canal to the river at Lock 60. I met Murphy at the boat slip. He was gorgeous and brought me his ball to toss. He almost makes me want a dog! He was sweet and full of fun :) |

Day #193 - Now What?

| On my way to work. Just stopped and got this injured bird out of the road. Now what do I do with it? I saw him on the yellow lines in the middle of Charlestown Rd. I ended turning around and going back for him. I took him to Schuylkill Rehab, but they wouldn't take him, so I shlept him up to the Schuylkill Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic in Roxborough. Poor little thing had a broken wing. :( I missed half a days work and it cost me, but I saved his little life! :) |

| Last week I went up in the field with Jay to see the babies. One was missing. Hmmm, we drove the tractor around looking and look what we found. |

| Right in the middle of the field, curled up and almost hidden amongst the buttercups we found this little one sound asleep! I even got to scratch his little head before he woke up! One look at me and he took off like a bat outta hell! :) |

| Free Range Eggs. There's 1 little hen at Renninger's Farm that has decided she's done laying her eggs in the hen house and is now running off to lay them! Little does she know, we know where! HA, she had 6 or 7 that were collected earlier and here I just found another! |

| Butt or butts?! I found these butts on Renninger's Farm. This is Mom, Dad, son and a stray! HA! The little black heifer was following this little bull around. Her mom was back at the trough were she, along with all the others, was enjoying a lunch of corn husks! Renninger's Farm is great little farm. You should visit it if you are in or near the Royersford area. |
